Valentine’s Day Note

Groundhog Day Research
Today we took a vote:
Would the Groundhog see his shadow?
yes – 6
no – 12
The Groundhog did see his shadow 6 more weeks of winter! I sure am ready for some warmer weather. The students also researched facts to learn more about Groundhogs and Groundhog Day.
Coin Drive
We have changed the Coin drive because of the snow days:
The altered daily themes are:
Thursday, January 18th – “Hugs to Olivia” – bring a stuffed animal to hug all day
Friday, January 19th – “Wishing Sweet Dreams to Olivia” – students may wear dress code appropriate pajamas and tennis shoes to school
Monday, January 22nd – “Sock-it to Moebius Syndrome” – wear crazy socks
Tuesday, January 23rd – “Thinking About Olivia” – wear hats
**Wednesday, January 24th – Moebius Syndrome Awareness Day – “Purple All Over” – WEAR PURPLE!
School is Cancelled for Tomorrow and Friday
School and all school related activities has been cancelled for Thursday, Dec. 14 and Friday, Dec. 15. We will resume classes on Monday, Dec. 18.
Our Second grade performance will be rescheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 19 at 8:45 for a one time parent performance.

Early Release
Tuesday December 19 and Wednesday December 20 are both early release days. Students will get out at 11:45
