hepleraI am so excited to be your child's second grade teacher and to be joining the White Oak family! I have been teaching for seventeen years. I taught 12 years in Pine Tree and 5 years in Flower Mound. I received my Bachelors in Education from The University of North Texas. I just got married this past Saturday to Scott. He is a coach in Gladewater. Together we have 5 awesome kids. My oldest Trey is a 2015 graduate of Pine Tree. He lives in San Antonio and is attending college there while working at Jimmy John's. Bryce is 15 and is a sophomore at Pine Tree High School. He plays baseball and is on the high school fishing team. Kalyn is 10 and is also joining the White Oak family. She enjoys dancing, softball, and shopping with mom! I also have 2 wonderful step daughters. Rylie is 16 is a junior at Kilgore High School, she plays varsity volleyball and soccer. Kamryn is 12 and also attends school in Kilgore. She enjoys volleyball, soccer, and tennis. I also have a sweet 11 year old black lab named Harley and 2 cats, Nola and Storm. I am looking forward to an awesome year with your kiddo. Field Day and Champs Assembly News!!!

Dear Parents,

It is a busy time of year.  I just want to give you some important information about Field Day and Our Champs Assembly that is coming up.

 

  1. The 2nd Grade Field Day is scheduled for Thursday from 12:30 to 2:30. Parents are welcome to attend and will need to park in the Intermediate parking lot.  You may check your child out from the field.  We are asking that they not go back into the building if they are being checked out due to dismissal.  There is no need for your child to bring their backpack unless they have an important note. Remember that they will need to wear old clothes and sunscreen!  They do not need to bring a change of clothes as there will not be much time for them to change.
  2. Our class will be performing at the Champs assembly on May 11th. Please arrive by 7:50, They usually start around 8:00 and last about 30 minutes.  I am sending home a Rap about Loyalty that the students will sing at the assembly.  Please have them practice at home.  They may wear a pair of sunglasses to the Champ assembly for our performance.
